How Many People Say Oh God I'm Overwhelmed
When we go through our lives we endure stress every day, whether it’s career, family, schedule, finances and a multitude of other things. That’s normal but at times this stress is amplified when it turns into problems with family, health, finances, loss of job, and that list can go on. You try to put on an outward happy face and act like everything is okay but inside you felt like a bomb when off and you’re an emotional wreak.
You tell your friends and acquaintances that you’re doing great but inside your screaming out in frustration and reaching a breaking point. You may become depressed or despondent because everything you try to do doesn’t fix the problem because it may stay the same or get worse with all your efforts.
This stress can build up, you feel overwhelmed and you feel like you can't handle it anymore. You feel like shutting down and you want to quit and go into a shell to shelter yourself.
If you resort to only “you” trying to fix the problems in your life you may notice that you’re not too successful trying to go it alone. Instead of having faith and turning to God prayer we tend to be stubborn and “think” we can do it alone.
I've read about the cruel form of punishment of crucifixion during the Roman period and the pain and misery the person had to endure. The cross wasn’t just planted straight into the ground, but it was at an angle. I'm sure Christ was physically overwhelmed with pain and what he was suffering through and this pain and suffering lasted for hours!
But Jesus Christ turned to God through His stressful moment of pain and suffering. And just think, he did it for you and I so that we can have eternal life if you accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior.
God is in control
He can carry your burdens if you let Him
