The Facts of Sin

Will You not revive us again,
That Your people may rejoice in You?
Show us Your mercy, Lord,
And grant us Your salvation.
I will hear what God the Lord will speak,
For He will speak peace
To His people and to His saints;
But let them not turn back to folly
— Psalm 85:6-8

Every morning before I start my day I spend time with the Lord in prayer. I pray for both a National and Personal Revival. If you are not seeking God for revival, please start today and make it a part of your daily prayers. When we seek God for revival, we must not forget that turning from our sins is a very important step. We need to ask God about the sins in our lives, the sins that might be holding us back from getting all God has for us. Like Daniel, we need to confess the sins of our nation.

Someone may ask, what should we do when we realize the things we are doing are sins? You know, when God puts His finger on us and calls our actions "sins." This is something we certainly don't like to hear. We would rather call it other things. We may even realize it is sin, but we have a list of excuses to help us justify ourselves.

I think America has forgotten, what God calls sin is still sin? I’d like to remind everyone that there are no big and small sins? Sin is sin. Sometimes I wonder if we are the generation who deceived ourselves so much we believe our pitiful excuses will touch God's heart and make Him want to look the other way when we sin? There are many in the Christian community today who think God has done away with the clear teachings in His Word that there are consequences to sin? Our Nation is primed for God’s Judgment.

God loves us and does not want sin in our lives. The problem is we need to come to the place where we are sorry for our sins, ask to be forgiven, and decide to turn from them. We need to uncover the sin and deal with it.

The Psalmist said in 32:5, “I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

I have seen all kinds of relationships come to a breaking point and realized that sin was the root of the problem. God had called their actions sin. They wanted to call it something else. The problem was when God called it sin, it was sin. America’s liberals have called homosexuality an alternate lifestyle, but God STILL called it sin.!

We all need to look into our own hearts. We should ask ourselves if there are things in our lives that need forgiveness. It may be hard to do, but God will lovingly show us the areas where work is needed. We should grow in God every day, and this is a good way to start. Let's not ignore sin. We must deal with it. Bring it to Jesus. Allow His forgiveness to remove the sin in our lives. It may be hard to face, but we can't argue with God. Progressives of today has declared homosexuality, same sex marriage and transgenders as natural and God made. I sure would hate to be in their shoes! When God calls it sin, it's sin. If our nation continues to go in the direction it’s going in now, it deserves what it gets! But I will continue to pray for a National and Personal Revival! God Bless!!
