Spiritual Leaders Fearful to Stand Up
So many preachers today are what I call pantywaist wimps. They are afraid to stand up and preach on sin. I'm talking about naming the sin. The days of the hell fire brimstone preachers are gone. But if you are one of those, you will be labeled as being mean spirited. I confess, I am one of those hell fire brimstone preachers. No matter what people may call me, I am a caring, concerned, compassionate, charitable person. I love all people. I don't care if they are drunks, druggies, homosexuals, adulterers, thieves, red, yellow, black or white, etc. I preach the way I do because I do love people and don't want them to spend an eternity in hell. If you preach on hell you're old fashioned because most preachers have stopped preaching on it. The bad news is, it's still there, swallowing up those who die without Christ.
If you preach against homosexuality you will probably be targeted as a bigot. If you preach on any sin you will probably be called all kinds of derogatory names. That's ok because it puts us in a very exalted group of people, the prophets! I am not denying anyone’s rights, just preaching against sin!
Face it folks, we now live in an anti-Christian America.
Isaiah 5:20 describes twenty first century America:
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"
Anything that has to do with The Lord is evil in the eyes of the culture today. America will be judged and it will be harsher than any other people. America is guilty of calling evil good and good evil. Get used to it Christians because it's going to get worse unless we repent and have a national revival.
There is a verse in the Bible both Christians and non-Christians need to beware of, Luke 12:48:
"For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:"
There are degrees in hell and people who were privileged to be raised in America where there is a church on every corner who die lost will experience the very depths and torments in that place. The more light a person has, the greater judgement.
Did anyone read the complete CQ article? If you didn't you need to take the time and be blessed by Phil Robertson witnessing. Listen to to his question to the reporters plans for the afterlife.
“So you and your woman: Are y’all Bible people?”
“Not really, I’m sorry to say,” the reporter replied.
“If you simply put your faith in Jesus coming down in flesh, through a human being, God becoming flesh living on the earth, dying on the cross for the sins of the world, being buried, and being raised from the dead—yours and mine and everybody else’s problems will be solved,” Phil said. “And the next time we see you, we will say: ‘You are now a brother. Our brother.’ So then we look at you totally different then. See what I’m saying?”
Why didn't that make the headlines?
If John the Baptist were in America today, he would be the most hated, despised, unpopular man here. Since he is not here, I will preach his sermon: REPENT AMERICA, the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Father we come before your throne with praise and thanksgiving. Thank you for the blessings you have bestowed upon us as a nation. We have been blessed above measure. But we have sinned and squandered the greatest gifts of salvation. We are a nation guilty of calling evil good and good evil. We have elected officials who deny that you are the only God and they refuse to stop the attack on Christianity in America. Replace them Father with men who fear you. Forgive us for squandering and abusing your gifts and put a fire in our hearts that will bring a revival throughout this nation. We are commanded to protect the innocent yet millions of babies are slaughtered in America. Forgive us Father for our sins and raise up a heavily army so that America can once again be known as a Christian nation. In Jesus Name, Amen!
