Trust In God with All Your Heart
I am going to give you 3 Bible verses this morning to help you trust the Lord in those times of perplexity, uncertainty and difficult situations.
“But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD.” Psalms 73:28
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverb 3:5-6
If you are like me we never seem to run out of opportunities to “trust” God. That doesn’t mean we actually choose to trust Him. In fact, if we were honest with ourselves, we would admit that most of the time we choose to fear, run, hide, get mad, pout, and strike out at others and a myriad of other reactions to the many stresses in our life. But this is not what God wants.
God wants us to trust Him. Both David and his son, Solomon, knew this and shared their secret to trusting with us. David said that trusting is the result of drawing near to God. Trust is choosing to move from fear to faith. From anger to peace. From doubt to certainty. It is in moving toward God that we find trust. Solomon warned about depending on our own understanding and encouraged us to move toward God, seeking His will in everything that is going on.
It is in “trusting God with all of our heart” that we find Him near, showing us which way to go. Today, when you find yourself in a difficult situation, stop! Draw near to God, seek His will and trust in Him. God Bless!
